The Chief Minister’s Laptop Program, recently launched by Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, aims to empower the youth by providing them with the latest technology to enhance their educational experience. The initiative targets the distribution of laptops to students across various educational institutions in Punjab within a 90-day timeframe.

Which latest laptop device will be distributed?

As part of the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025, the government will distribute 13th-generation laptops with Core i7 processors to deserving students.

• Program Overview

• Under this program, a total of 45,000 laptops will be distributed as follows:
• Universities: 20,000 laptops
• Colleges: 14,000 laptops
• Technical and Agricultural Colleges: 4,000 laptops
• Medical and Dental Colleges: 2,000 laptops
• Minority Students: 2,000 laptops

Notably, 32% of these laptops are allocated to students from South Punjab to ensure regional representation. The laptops provided are the latest Core-i7, 13th generation models, ensuring students have access to up-to-date technology.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Chief Minister’s Laptop Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Academic Performance: Students must have achieved top positions in their Matriculation or F.Sc examinations.
2. Enrollment Status: Applicants should be enrolled in one of the following institutions within Punjab:

Government universities

Government colleges

Technical and agricultural colleges

Medical and dental colleges

3. Field of Study: Students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Medical, Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, Business, Language, Veterinary, and Agriculture are eligible.
4. Merit-Based Selection: The program emphasizes merit, and students will be presented with a guard of honor under the scheme.

Registration Process:

1. Institutional Data Compilation:
   Your educational institution will gather information on students who meet the eligibility criteria.
2. Submission to Higher Education Commission (HEC) Punjab: The compiled data will be forwarded to the HEC Punjab for verification and selection.
3. Announcement of Selected Students: HEC Punjab will release a list of selected students based on the submitted data.

Key Points:

No Individual Applications: Students are not required to apply online or submit individual applications.

Distribution Timeline: Laptop distribution is anticipated to begin after Ramadan 2025, with registration processes starting in February 2025.
